REACH OUT

Dear friends due to ongoing Pandemic the travel stories are on hold in this post of mine. Standing to support all the covid warriors.
PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN!

It was a Friday late evening....... suffering with chest congestion, body ache and difficulty in breathing. She called her doctor and he asked her to immediately get admitted to a covid center. As she continued to feel discomfort, late that night around 11.30 pm, they somehow managed to get an auto-rickshaw. They reached the hospital at 12 midnight and asked the security for help. He willingly assisted them to the hospital and by God's grace got admission. This young woman now realized if she is admitted to the hospital her sister has to go home alone. Adhering to the rules she knew her sister can't stay at the covid centre. Now more than the virus her sister's protection becomes a priority.
This troubled her and she insisted, She would come again the next day . She refused to let her sister go alone in the night. She gently put her arm around her sister's shoulder and said let's go home I can come again tomorrow. Her sister with tears in her eyes pleaded she stays but finally gave up and agreed, so they both headed home. Somehow she managed to pass the night with great difficulty, she earnestly prayed" God please help me, I know with you all things are possible". She tossed and turned that Friday night without a wink of sleep. Fear had gripped her but her faith was adamant.
As soon as it was dawn the next day morning her sister and she headed to the hospital, not sure if the bed is available but did not lose hope. As they reached they did get admission to the hospital.
Her breathing became heavy and her body weak. The doctors attended to her and assured her she will be fine soon. She mentioned to me, that  his smiling face gave her more strength than the medicine. This motivated her,  she knew she will soon be fine and so she  began praising God. All the other patients in the centre gave her hope and encouragement. This made her much stronger.

Four meals a day,  a continual follow up of the nurses with a smile on their face saying  , all is well !!! is still captured in her memory.

She said days just passed so fast as a wink of an eye. It took her eight days to recover and she said the entire treatment and food was free of cost. She lifted her hands and thanked God Almighty. She was worried about the cost all the time with tears in her eyes she thanked the entire staff and doctors. She also mentioned all the other patients were surprised on her speedy recovery.
She was happy to reach home and felt refreshed. Later that night, she again faced difficulty in breathing. On calling the emergency number given to her by the  hospital attendant and following the instructions  given, she felt better and recovered.

Today She is in the best of health, one thing she told me I was treated in the hospital with so much love and care. It was like a home away from home.

I just  shared to you the story of this girl who contacted this virus. She fought the battle alone, I admire her courage and determination that gave her victory, and today she thanks God for His protection and good health. This is a true story and was narrated to me over the phone.

Amidst this chaotic situation, it's so lovely to see people reaching to help one another and people offering prayers for the speedy recovery of patients.  So proud of my city where doctors and nurses not only treat the patients but spread love and care. Hats off to such hospitals(covid centre) who bear all expenses of patients with limited means. I salute such Doctors and Nurses, the Policemen and the NGO's for their selfless service. People who are helping with oxygen cylinders, arranging beds in the hospital, providing free tiffin to patients and their families,  You are no less!

A big Shout out to Rosy and Pascal Saldana , sold her jewellery to provide eight oxygen cylinders , tones of pulses and grains to the needy.

To all of you out there, near and dear ones who are affected, my heart goes out to you. My friends who need a word of courage I want to Say  “please stay strong, Our prayers are with you”. God is faithful, just keep trusting. The biggest weapon now is fear, that can destroy you.... stay calm we all are going through this challenge. Let’s conquer fear by faith in God. Together let’s fight this pandemic. To all friends who know me personally and need a listening hear please call me and if you are depressed, please call someone pour out your heart. Stay at home and Stay Safe.
