Let's Defeat Fear

                                                                   Let Us Defeat  Fea

"Fem I am unwell I am  scared I have just done my RP PCR test awaiting the report  ". My sister I am so very tensed what should I do ?

Today I would like to  share the conversation and mixed emotions of the covid survivors.

I received a call from my relative saying she unwell. Her voice sounded tensed , panicked and very frightened.  I motivated her encouraged her. by saying calm down just say all is well . If negative thoughts erode your mind just say all is well and confess  I am healed totally and completely.   I said ‘my sister you are strong as a lioness and have your cubs by your side’. You are a warrior and you can fight. On the other end of the phone, I was worried but I had to stay strong and encouraged. Each day I called her made her laugh and  motivated her I assured her  this is just a phase it all over.  Today she is totally healed and today she say "I can make it anyone can ". My focus was only I am healed and felt better and better each day'.  She had conquered fear by changing her focus to her wellbeing.

I was worried about her children at these times it's worst when none can help you. This is the first time in history that the survivor has to fight his/her battle alone, they can’t come in human contact. Innocent lives are lost, those who survive don’t want to go back to those memories.

My heart goes to single mothers how did they overcome, how did they gather strength. I had an opportunity to talk to a young mother who was a survivor, she said those were my dark days and I fought it only for my children. I stayed strong till the end just to be with them, they are small and they need me. She continues ‘my children were on my mind all the time in the hospital, I lay awake each night praying this phase of my life to vanish’. She further mentioned that day the doctor said "you are fine now to go home". She cried with joy and as she reached home she hugged her girls as though a new life began. All I knew was that she showed great courage and resilience in fighting back.

It was a difficult phase, I received calls messages from friends and relatives. Every call was important and filled with emotions. My heart would beat faster as i heard them speak. I wanted to just cry, fear-filled the atmosphere, and people panicked.  One of my close friend lost her father as his oxygen level decreased, they took him from one hospital to the other. There was no bed available they pleaded with the hospital officials but unfortunately the oxygen cylinder  was also unavailable. Finally, he breathed his last, and all broke down crying and shattered. My friend stood there grief-stricken and inconsolable. As I heard the news I was heartbroken and speechless. All I said to her stay strong tears rolled I heard her sobbing bitterly. No exchange of words but sometimes silence speaks. Our conversation on the cell ended.  Today this friend of mine vowed to help those in need by informing them about various oxygen dealers . She now turned her weakness to strength and I am so proud of her.

Dear all my country India is still fighting the 2nd wave of the virus, after all we have gone through, gradually  we are getting stronger to face this challenging situation. I humbly appeal to all my friends and loved ones stay at home and be safe. All my fellow citizens let us all  come together and face this wave like a warrior. Let us defeat this fear by staying strong, encouraging, helping, and supporting one another.

I would like to encourage you all by telling you the brighter sides of this phase. People are now reaching out like never before I would like to salute you all for this marvelous support . Remembering  all the front-line workers we thank you for your selfless service, our prayers are with you always.

We are fighting this wave bravely and the recovery cases have gone high. Mumbai is getting stable with graph dipping as cases have decreased compared to the last month.

As the world is engulfed by this pandemic life is now taking a U-TURN. The new norms of social distance, mask, and hygiene have curtailed freedom. Homes have become offices, schools, and entertainment hubs. This lifestyle has lots of stories to tell, some are brave ones.  The lesson I have learned is to be brave. Fear is the route cause of major diseases,  stress and anxiety. Studies have proved that fear weakens our immunity and causes damages to our body. Therefore fill your minds with positivity, be optimistic that you are healed lets defeat fear with faith, together we can fight this pandemic.

Do stay connected for my next blog on my travel memories. Stay home and be safe.
