Amazing Auckland City🇭🇲

New Zealand is known for its rugby team, kiwi fruit , manuka honey(best honey) and spectacular landscapes . This country is also known to be a snake free country .

It was time to explore this beautiful country so I planned to visit this country in 2003.

It is best to have a little knowledge about the country so it makes your voyage much simpler.
Their currency is NZD so 1$ is Rs 50.71 . New Zealand has two islands the North Island and Southland.
Recollecting memories : My first visit to New Zealand, was my solo travel 🛩in 2003. I was flying to Auckland, on the North Island. Auckland is one of the most populated city and its also called the city of sails.
My Sister inAuckland

The total flying time🕘 from Mumbai to New Zealand Auckland was approximately 15 to 18hrs.  I Boarded the flight from Mumbai to Singapore ,we had a halt of 8 hours before we boarded the next flight to Auckland . There was long hours of halt at Changi Airport🛩 Singapore, therefore I joined the city tour at the airport. They showed us around the city in Singapore and it was an amazing experience. This was not on my itinerary, so the city tour was a cherry 🍒on  the cake 🎂.Ready to board I continued my journey to Auckland. I was on a visitor’s visa valid for six months.

So ! Let the journey begin …..🛣

By the look on my face one could watch the sheer excitement🤩, my eyes glaring 🤓at those clean wide roads, fresh air, the lush, greenery, and beautiful houses🏘 with lawns🏕. Finally I made it to New Zealand, I  felt on the ninth cloud.🌨

I was so excited😍 and  thrilled, I went over heals as I geared up  to explore New Zealand. I  remember staying with my family 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦in Auckland very close to Lynn mall.

        LYNN MALL
The place was in an apt location with bus and train station near .It becomes much easier if you drive , however there are rules to follow. I still remember the townhouse I lived in, the street, and the mall it's still afresh in my memories. However, since then I have visited Auckland a couple of times as a visitor and a student.👩‍🎓

The year 2003 was marked in my diary for traveling🛩 to Singapore and New Zealand. This journey made me realize a pair of clothes, jackets  is a must in the in-flight bag👜 also a diary, and books📖 to read just to keep you occupied during the long journey. A good company could make your long trip a short one. As we landed  I was so tired exhausted but excited💃 to meet my family.

Auckland is a multicultural and cosmopolitan city🌇 and for me, it's home away from home.  The people of mixed ethnicity, the food, and the lifestyle just makes it an ideal place to visit. Being a mumbaite I never missed my vada pav🥪,

chats, masala chai and dosa. I enjoyed all of it here in Auckland.  If you are looking🧐 to visit this place you can either book a hotel or homestay. The hotel costs you about 100 to 200$ a night.

  Children Near SkyCity

There are many places to visit in Auckland like the Sky city, mission bay, botanical garden

, museum, Devan Port, and breath taking scenic beauty . Its a perfect place to spend your vacation with your family.

The first place  to visit is the Sky city, you can travel by train or bus🚎.  There are  uber and taxi🚕 services available but just be watchful they are very expensive. I enjoyed all my travels by the local transport. The frequency of the train 🚂is approximately every 15mins, the bus 🚃usually is a little longer. If you plan to travel by bus or a train the best option is to purchase a Hop card that costs NZ $20.

This card can be refilled at any train or bus station. Children👫 below 5 years can avail of this service for free. I preferred  travelling around the city by bus🚎 or train🚂 .If you travel by car🚗 you may face parking issues, so plan📃 your mode of transport  in advance. Note If you download the AT app it gives you the train 🚂and bus🚃 timetable, it’s more a hassle-free travel app. This app was like a blessing to me since I used the local transport a lot.

One of the main stops by train or bus is Britomart 🚂, from there we head to the sky city. You can also avail special city tour bus that takes you touring the city's main attractions.

The city is generally  well decorated 🎊with the advent of Christmas🎄, children get  very excited as there are many activities , fun n fair , Santa parade and

Christmas market during this season.

I usually visit Auckland in November as with the onset of summer, it becomes the best time to visit this place.   Summers are from November to February and winters from June to September.🗼

Sky city🗼 is one of the tourist attractions it has restaurants, hotels, and it’s an entertainment hub.

It is a tall tower🗼 an icon of Auckland city, you can visit for a beautiful view of the city. It has a fabulous viewing from the tower , where you can view Auckland from atop.

If you want to try some adventurous sport ,they do have bungy jumping. There is a entry fee so you have to purchase tickets .The tower🗼 has a gift shop and souvenirs that will make your trip🌏 a memorable one. We had a whale of a time at the city

All food lovers !! If you are hungry, I recommend Andy’s burger🍔 at Andy’s,

   Best Andy's Burger

for chicken lovers Nandos is a good option.  As Auckland is multicultural you can find so much variety of food🍨🍢🍠🍤🍜.   There are many other options of restaurants, Indian food and lots to explore at sky city.

Ladies💃 get excited about some shopping🛍, you will find street wear, luxury wear, they have brands like H&M, Prada, Dior, Zara (my all-time favorite) so don’t miss the shopping👜 around the corner. There is a lot more to explore in the city the La Cigale French Market open all days , the night market , high street fashion. I can't take my eye off the the brands like Gucci, Hugo Boss and Louis Vuitton. I'm sure this will be first on your bucket list.
